So?Avatar wasn't frontloaded.
New Moon was,and it still did better than Alice is doing atm.
Alice in Wonderland wont even get pass 500 mil$ Domestic +Foreign.
No way will it beat New Moon,and The Dark Knight is out of the question.

well 2012 is pure garbage fun and u need to watch with open mind 

i love the FX's of 2012 as i love the action scenes 

but as story wise well the movie is junk full of cliches and super mega annoying characters and while watching the movie i was rolling my eyes every 5 minutes

Well that was truly awful. How they could take something as wonderful and strange as Alice in Wonderland and turn it in to something as straight forward and devoid of magic as "can the girl kill the dragon?" is beyond me. First time since Dreamcatcher that I've wanted to leave before a movie was finished.

A couple good performances though...

Saw it first day in IMAX 3D. It was a very good movie, I didn't know it would do THIS well, those are amazing numbers!

I saw the movie a few hours ago. It's terrible and even the 3D couldn't save it.

OP, if you had mentioned that Alice beat Avatar as the (domestic) top-grossing 3D movie in an opening weekend, then you might not have had so many arguments haha. Like others have pointed out, many other movies have outsold Avatar in their opening weekends so the accomplishment means very little overall. Setting a new record for domestic opening weekend for a 3D movie is a decent accomplishment though, even though its negative word of mouth will ultimately leave it at a tiny fraction of the overall sales of Avatar.
