how does it hurt the industry and cause the decline of gaming?

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I've still got MP3 shrinkwrapped on my shelf due to MLB power Pros.

Well Faxanadu, in Dwarf Fortress, you a generated a world to play in. And before you start playing, you are shown a 1000 year history of the world they have generated (generating takes a LONG time lol, with quite a lot of failed attempts) which is pretty cool. And in play you can affect and mess with everything, it's really a monumental game. The obvious downside is that it's ASCII graphics =(

Heh reminds me of Sim Earth... maybe it's because I was 12... but i could not figure that game out... all the different crap with timing gestation and plants just right with mutations... i could not make a balanced ecosystem for the life of me.

Hah, well in Dwarf Fortress you only control what your Dwarves do, the world just... 'lives'. It's incredibly complex, which has gained the attention of some gaming sites/blogs. the learning curve is a joke lol, because you can pretty much do anything. I'll figure it out eventually, until then my Dwarves keep starving/going insane.

SMG is the best game ever made...or close, anyway.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Why is everyone saying EO is a budget title?? How much did you pay for that game guys?
I paid 69 Swiss Francs for Endless Ocean, and I also paid 69 Swiss francs for SMG, so at least here in Switzerland EO is not at all a budget title...

Faxanadu i don't know what you are but since I got SMG my Endless Ocean disc did not touch my Wii. I still think it's a great Game.

You have to pay more if you live further from the sea... In the UK it is less than £20 (on Amazon...i think the RRP is £19.99)

Those who live near coral reefs (eastern australians...other less famous reefs) get the game for pennies.

It's because they have to take several cubic kilometers of ocean, shrink it down, then transport it to your Wii. That extra money is used to pay marine biologists to supervise the safe transport of marine life to your living room.
