MAG, and Socom are developed by different teams, People are saying they are turned off now, because they announced another game in the same year, and there not going to get support, complete BS , MAg is a dam good game if you give it a chance , plays very well and no major bugs, The longest development for MAG was the servers to allow the 256 person play, which was done by another team, so some are not being fair about this, Socom does not have 256 players because its a completly different game, with a 12 hour single player campaign, 5 player online co-op, Now that MAG is out doing fairly well for a new IP, both Zipper and Sony are going to really test these servers and engine, so the next 256 player game , is even much better then MAG, there not going to use this in a game that just came out, and they have no idea how this is going to work long term or even if 256 players are wanted on a console game, When all the questions have been answered we will maybe see another 256 player online game. For people playing Heavy Rain, don't take it back , I have played the hell out of the game, it frooze on my ounce, you can still play it with no real problems until another patch comes out, so you know, some people are really premodonas.
