OT: I think Square should remake VII ...IF..... FF Versus XIII doesnt revive the franchise name cause I feel the FF series isnt as great after FFX and FFXIII is getting some serious mix reviews.

I have always thought SE will get around to re-making one day, I mean they have done a lot of the Nintendo catalogue after all. All I'd like to see change though is an update to the sprites into HD models, a reworking of the FMVs and a new translation (perhaps voice work, but I'm not convinced on this being done correctly as we all have our own ideas about how the characters should sound).

Final Fantasy is suffering from the well known phenomena of "franchise fatigue". It simply needs a shot in the arm from some talented new comers and to go back to basics.

The point is that even if it didnt sell 10 million, if they made a remake of FFVII, then it will def sell 10million + because it will retain all its old fans AND all the hype would bring in huge amounts of new players because some people have heard how good it is but cant be fucked playing a ps1 version of it but I will guarantee that it will def sell over 10million if it were to come out on ps3

FFVII sold 100k its first week on psn, so obviously its well over 10M now..
