Forums - Nintendo - Endless Ocean Blue World. What do you think about the ending?

Don't worry, I won't spoil it for you if you haven't finished it yet.  Well, the main story mode is now over for me and I am very curious to know your impressions about the ending.  You know, I have been waiting for this game for a long, long time.  The first one totally blew me away and this one even more so.  Now that the main story mode is over, I reflect upon my experience.  It was an amazing ride all the way and I still have A LOT of stuff to salvage and photo requests to do and animals to discover, so I will put a lot of more hours in it even if the main story mode is over.

I truly think that FOR ME, this is the greatest game ever made.  It reaches me on so many levels.

As far as the ending goes, I really want your opinions before I come to term with my own experience of it.  To be honest, I still don't know how I feel about it.

Please share!!!  And I know it's just been out for about a week in Canada, BUT I WANT, NO I NEED ANOTHER SEQUEL

Have you actually got to the ending? or have you re-opened the cavern (I am doubtful you managed that in a week)

Anyhow.... the ending was good, I liked the suspense with the goblin sharks (holy crap I don't want to see a real one of those for sure) but the almost countless number of side-stories is the best bit about this game.

Another good thing about this game.... photo sharing: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=100279&page=1&str=1295590292#

I did finish it. Took me about 25 hours. The big goblin shark was one of the ugliest thing I had ever seen in my life. I got to it pretty fast because I didn't do a lot of the side quests. Now that I'm doing them, I think I sould have spent more time doing them. For me, the ending was, well, a bit stressful, with the countdown and everything. I would have liked more time to explore, you know? Still going to play it, lots of salvaging to be done.

You haven't properly finished yet

What are your other stats? how many dolphins... how much money etc.

If you have played for 25 hours, you still have a LOT to do (though yes, main story pretty much complete as far as I know) I recently crossed 110 hours and it was about then when I pretty much ran out of side stories (I still have 1 incomplete but it's the one about collecting coins)

Despite running out of side stories though, I still have quite a bit to do myself (completing the marine encyclopedia and the salvage items and coins, playing in the private reef, lots of dolphin training, and otherwise getting the rest of the achievements.

So, you are the person for two quick questions:

1. When can I see the blue bird in the north? They talk about a curtain.
2. How do you become friends with dolphins. I have only two. The first one came with
the diving company and I rescued the second one from the iceberg. I don't know how
to get them in my training facility.

THanks!

Can't say............just yet.

To befriend dolphins you need to do shows 20 times or train them 100 times. I can't find the bird in the north either. I thought the curtains were the Aurora.

Yes.

www.spacemag.org - contribute your stuff... satire, comics, ideas, debate, stupidy stupid etc.

The curtains are the aurora... you need to go there on a clear night when you can see the aurora. (believe me the next bit of the bluebird quest is much harder)

As for befriending dolphins... start traing one of them until you can level it up (hayako asks you to perform 3 tricks for you to level up) then just follow that side-story.

The main story was okay. I like their made-up critters at the end. My friend had some serious ecological concerns about them, though.

Currently over 50 hours played and more than half of titles acquired. Every time you think you've seen it all, this game throws some amazing creature at you that drops your jaw.

It's amazing. The title is appropriate, too. It really feels like an Endless game, there's so much to do and see.
The ending was pretty cool, I liked it. Much better than the original EO. I vastly prefer this over any 'OMG EPIC GOTY!1!!'-5-hour QTE-movie that so many of today's modern games seem to offer.
