Why bring Heavy rain into this thread?
It'll cause trouble. You can't do that unless you're CGI.

I 2nd everyone's opinion on this game - it's great for survival horror fans. It's kind of like how the Silent Hill games weren't very good technically, but the story and atmosphere make up for it.

This is a pretty bad comparison.
I really don't see a game like Deadly PRemonition being transformers 2. Games like Gears of war, Uncharted would be transformers 2... Expensive, pretty looking and unoriginal fluff that is made for the masses to gobble up...
If anything, videogame industry is the only industry where a lot of the times, the size of your games budget determines its AAA status with critics.

Fixed. Although I was speaking in general about video game critics and not just this one situation. You don't give a game a 10 because "it's so absolutely terrible that it's perfect". How unprofessional can you get?
Deadly Premonition and Heavy Rain are in two completely different genres. It doesn't make sense to compare them. And I wouldn't compare Deadly Premonition to Transformers 2. Deadly Premonition seems very Suda51-esque as opposed to Hollywood. And Suda51-esque is basically the videogame equivalent of arthouse indie stuff. And arthouse doesn't have to mean highbrow. If you ever saw some of the really fucked up indie movies they show at these movie festivals. lol.
Might get this, the voice acting is funny and it doesn't look like it takes itself too seriously.

Perhaps so, or perhaps they do get the point of the game and think it's crap anyway. For every game there are people who are going to think it's a rubbish game. For a game like this it appears a larger number of people than average are going to think it's rubbish, and this will be reflected in the review scores.
Ain't nothing wrong with liking a sub 5/10 game. I like a lot of sub 5/10 movies, but I know why reviewers gave those movies low scores, and from where they're coming from I fully agree. What I can't understand is how so many movie reviewers gave Avatar such a good score.

I love how this guy rips into IGN. lol. He mentions their Deadly Premonition review after he talks about their God Hand review.
Seriously though, reviews are subjective no matter what so I don't understand the hate-on for IGN. No review is ever "objective". If fanboys of a series only want like-minded fanboys to review their games, what's the point of having reviews? You'd just have a bunch of fanboys giving games 10/10 and patting each other on the back. People have diverse opinions. This is why I like metacritic. It shows you all of the reviews the game got so you have a wide range of diversity in opinion to take into consideration when checking out a game.
God he's tough.
Hope he doesn't call me a faggot. It's been years since I was in a playground and I wouldn't know how to respond without hurting his feelings by laughing.
And why do people call others son like that? It's annoying.
Good video. We get to see the type of people that leave replies like that.
How 100 so and so and so and so add up to 48 average? Because metacritic uses a weighted system. As in reviewers have a credibility value and this effects how much influence there score can have on the overall.
As in, whichever reviewer gave it 100 isn't considered a very good reviewer.
