This may or may not be the situation at your local TRU, depending on your market's Wii demand. I would still give the store nearest to you a try, they had plenty of GHIII (at least 100 copies in stock), pleny of MOH:Heroes, & Mario & Sonic at my location, just no RE:UC, Galaxy, DDR etc. Some titles had lots of stock, but many big sellers blew right out.

The location across town from me had pleny of RE:UC & DDR, but no MOH:Heroes or GHIII.

I'd see what it looks like in your area before I got dissapointed.

And if they are wiped out, try every day this week til the sale is over. :)

I found the same thing that RadioRobert described.

The worse thing was that you could not just enter and buy games ... you had to stand in the line, even if you didn't want a unit.

I plan to go back later today to try to pick up some scraps. Mainly because I imagine some games not marketed toward the younger crowd may still be available.

I was at a TRu this morning and didn't see a soul looking for a wii. In fact they had about 11 in the electronics dept.

See what I mean?  Only around the PS3 fanboys.  It's strange.  I mean if Leo-J didn't say he lived in miami i'd think they all lived on the iberian peninsula.

Seriosusly though... if that's the case... Nintendo needs to get it's distributors in order, there is something wrong if you can get 11 wiis in one store and in another people are lining up before open to buy wiis.

Eh, how was i supposed to know?  I mean plenty of 15 year olds have that much to throw around, either through under the table jobs, saved birthday money, allowances, chores etc.

My friends brother at 15 started his own Hat buisness that made him quite the bit of money.

Not meaningless... just nowhere near as foolproof as people think.  Without them, it's even possible for VGchartz to be right every now and again.... or even more accurate then them if Ioi has a better formula for estimating sales.

It's not like it's a perfect science or anything.

One thing's for sure - promotions like this one make it very hard to track both hardware and software, but especially software. I think it's going to be very hard to track sales during this holiday. Fortunately, the three companies will release their quarterly financial reports soon after that, which will allow for corrections to get done.

I can't imagine anything like this happening on any console ever
