No... that's not why people think the earth was flat.   As has already been mentioned to you... like many times before, your mistranslating that section of the bible.

The Catholic Chruch didn't think the earth was flat.

People thought the anicents thought the earth was flat because of a book of fiction, "The Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus" written by Washington Irving.  Was one of the most popular books of the 1800's.

Washington Irving is actually known for a lot of the misconceptions people hold... he wrote quite a few historical pieces that were at least partially fiction like that including people like George Washington and Muhhamad.

I know that educated Europeans knew the Earth was round before the Age of Exporation, and I may be wrong in thinking that common people assumed the world to be flat out of ignorance.  From the information about "The Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus," I can see that I greatly overestimated that ignorance, as well as the stance of the Catholic Church that was mostly concerned with the Earth not being the center of the universe.

Still, early Christians undboubtedly thought the Earth was flat, and this is clearly shown in the Bible.  A multitude of verses reference the end of the Earth, seeing the ends of the Earth from a high mountain, edges of the Earth, foundation that the Earth is built on, the firmament covering the Earth, and so forth.  To say that the Bible doesn't support a flat, immovable Earth is a silly claim.

So... anyone who uses the phrase "The ends of the Earth" believes in a flat earth in your mind?

There are a number of verses in the bible that talk about th earth being circular and round as well.

How do you reconcile "Ends of the earth" with "circular"... when something circular clearly has no ends?

Easy... one is a FIGURE OF SPEECH.

Is that so? Show me where in the Bible it says this, because I guarantee that nowhere does it say "the Earth is flat."

Here's a simple read that should clear it up for you.

http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/febible.htm

I don't know why I try though, as I highly doubt you would even bother to read the link, choosing prideful ignorance over humiliating knowledge.

Once again... your translating it wrong.  I've actually show this to you before.

Regardless the catholic Church didn't think the earth was flat.

You know... it actually says in the bible where the Earth was round, but your going with an alternate definition of something that also just means earth.

This is the second time i've had to clear this up for you.

You are embarassing yourself again, Kasz.  Well, I'm embarassing you...

1 Chronicles 16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.”
Psalm 93:1: “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm ...”
Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable ...”
Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.”

Isaiah 45:18: “...who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast...”

Isaih 11:12: "And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."

Job 38:12: "Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place that it might take the earth by the edge and shake the wicked out of it?"

I'm muslim.

Enough said.

Isiah 21-22

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Circle of the earth... yet it talks about four corners... what does that tell you... one of those would be a FIGURE OF SPEECH.

People you know... still say 4 corners of the earth today... do THEY believe the earth is flat?

Well, considering that angels and demons is a very broad topic that does branch off into the afterlife and all that stuff, I'll extend my ideas into that as well.

The afterlife is pretty much the only thing humans don't know. Whether a soul lives on in angelic or demonic form or even if they exist at all, I can not say.

I'm unsure what I think of the afterlife, and hence, angels and demons.

I don't believe in John Edward though.

Circles are flat and have edges.  Yes, you can walk off the edge of a circle.

I'll go ahead and get the verse for you...  "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers.  He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."

This describes a flat circle, with a tent 'firmament' over top of it, which is equally stupid I might add.

Additionally...

Job 26 10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Compassed if you don't know... would be talking about how water circles... which was one of the first proofs of a round earth.

Your reaching so hard... it's sad.  Circles do not have ends.  It's the "ends of the earth" not edges.

Your gripping because once again... you haven't done your research.

Why do you think people started saying the four corners of the Earth?  Because they once thought it had corners.

Again cirlces have edges.

Here's what the verse you quote describes:
