lol at the trolls. It doesn't matter anyways when Halo fans get an amazing amazing game and haters can hate anyways. Lol this will be the highest selling HD game of the year end of story. Haters can just deal with it while Halo fans rack up kills and carnage starting with the Beta in May baby!!!!!!

Halo has always been somewhat similar to Tribes.  Jetpacks alone doesn't make it any moreso.

Well Jetpacks, different loadouts, loadout-based skills and weapons, vehicles (i know halo has always had them) in a team class-based combat game is at least somewhat a tribes clone. The intense tribes/team fortress push here makes even the boring Halo universe look fun.

I can't wait to read all the threads about how innovate and awesome it is that Bungie came up with such an original idea.

Firstly IMO, Halo is the most interesting universe in gaming aside from Mass Effect. 2ndly, Halo was innovative in terms of limited weapons holding. But apart from that what makes Halo isnt the innovation as such. But implementation. Halo always new what it was, and hasn't changed to suit other FPS changes. The minute Halo strays from it's formula, is the minute it loses players. After all it's a completely different experience than the usual FPS clones on consoles these days ( KZ2, MW2, BFBC2 ) etc. They are all similar. Halo is so different from them. It would explain why Halo 3 still can pull in more Live users than MW2 most weeks. MW1 had some weeks above Halo 3 but Halo 3 got back on top after like 2 months of MW1 being out. 2 different tastes.

Reach looks amazing. I thought DVD was recently touted as a hinderence to HD Gaming. With 720p Native res, 4xMSAA and more content than any other shooter ever in 1 package at what point does DVD show it's strains?

KZ2 is a completely different FPS experience from MWF or battlefield.. heck even battlefield is someone different from the regular old COD..

people hated KZ2 for being that different..

I hate it when people talk crap without having played a game..

Hey I wasn't expecting Jetpacks, Rolling, or any of those modes. Chances are one is like Firefight. Also, the game's graphocs already look alot better than Halo 3. Too bad the only way to get to the beta was ODST.

jetpacks sounds pretty frustrating to try to account for in a shooter . . .

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Ha you would think that but with the way bungie handles things i'm sure it will be as smooth as driving the vehicles in halo.

Sweet, finally the Halo series is looking interesting again. It's been awhile.

It is showing since 2005.

Out of curiosity can you show me why?So far it hasnt shown in the slightest. Ok so we all know that DVD doesn't hold that much. That isn't the point. The point is what FPS out on consoles has as much to it as Halo 3 for example. Again Reach is taking tha even further. I would understand if BluRay games had loads more features in games like KZ2, but the reality is they have less features, less maps. Why? No other game this gen has as much features as Halo 3. And Reach is taking that further. It's all very well saying FF13 for example is on 1 BluRay and 3 DVD's. But thats no hinderence. If BluRay has the room, why not give more features and support? Thats what I mean by DVD is not showing it's age.
