I was thinking if Monster Hunter 3 becomes very successful and gets massive pre-orders next week when the demo comes out March 8, will we see more demos from Nintendo and 3rd party companies?

I think there is a possibility that it could happen, but, I think Monster Hunter 3 has to sell 500,000-1,000,000 copies in its first week. I will pre-order the game next week.

What do you guys think?

Well, MH3 isn't really "from Nintendo". Nintendo's also taken a hard line against demos in the past, though that seems to be fading now that they're offering DS demos on the Nintendo channel, and experimenting with WiiWare demos.

Also, I think your hopes for MH3 are waaaaay too high. If it does even a third that 1st week, I think Nintendo and Capcom will both be popping the champagne.

I'd say so, though not in downloadable form like some are hoping. Personally, I'd like to see Nintendo Power give demo discs with each issue like OXM and OPM do.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I know MH3 is from Capcom, but, without Nintendo there will be no demo. Also, Nintendo is publishing the game in Europe.

I dunno, the demo seems to be 100% Capcom USA's push.  Nintendo publishing MH3 in Europe might actually be why they're the only region NOT getting a demo? :/

I'm been suscribe to Nintendo Power for 3 years and I have 2 years plus left, anyway I would love demos from Nintendo Power.

Demos in Nintendo Power is a great idea. Actually, it's so logical I'm a little surprised it hasn't already happened. :/
