Wow very cool. Thanks for that.

well boutros here in britain we are not exactly known for our sking resorts, lol

downhill skiing is pretty impressive

i like them both but would choose the track and field which is what i regard as the summer olympics plus the swimming,it seems the organisers want every other sport involved, fringe sports i can understand but don't get why football is in the olympics and tennis, doesn't make sense to me,they are having golf next aren't they?

am i the only one that finds snow boarding a real yawn, you're not a sportsperson if you're wearing baggy jeans and a floppy hat,why do they have to be so trendy,i must be getting old and grumpy,i thought they had xtreme sport olympics

even the russian women curling team were fit,lol

i do love most sporting occaisions though and i enjoyed seeing old bill shatner and MJ fox at that closing ceremony

who was that irish guy talking,he isn't canadian and in that closing display most people seemed to be oriental, lol

i didn't realise french was the first language of canada either and man do you like you're ice hockey in canada,it was like a 10 minute standing ovation in that arena, which was huge, what is it used for or was it built for the olmypics

I really thought there were mountains in England lol

Hockey is utterly popular here. I'm not a fan myself but I'm still happy both teams won.

Thanks, fantastic pictures! Not the best one out of those, but my favourite one: http://inapcache.boston.com/universal/site_graphics/blogs/bigpicture/v2010_03_01/v38_22385613.jpg

OT: I like the Summer & Winter Olympics equally, despite the increasing commercialization and the corruption within the IOC, and I've watched every one of them since 19...no, better not.

The arena is BC place stadium. We use it for Football (BC lions), Soccer (Whitecaps pending 2011, used to play there back in the 80's), and various trade shows/traveling spectacles (such as monster trucks, boat show, etc).

Seats 60,000 when set up for football.
