Well, I guess I am not the only one staring at my phat PS3, trying to find ways to waste time until I can get back to playing Heavy Rain or MAG. Though I am wondering how long Sony will need to resolve error 8001050F. I am also contemplating whether or not they will throw in a little "extra" which they have had in the pipeline for the next FW upgrade in order to do more than simply say "We are very sorry for the inconvinience caused by this problem, we will continue to work hard in order for the community to enjoy the full potential of the Playstation®3 and PSN®."

Cross-game chat would be a nice present :) anyone with me?

Well dreaming is still free and I feel that this would be a great opportunity for Sony to show how much they care about their customers/community etc. From my point of view this is something that is affecting a large number of people, especially with March being one of the biggest months for Sony, they will want to be positive about this and make this worse.

I totally agree CG chat would be sweet, someojne correct me if im wrong tho, i heard that the reason CG chat wasnt implemented sooner was that it would interfere with some EA games and make them not work so EA got mad and required SONY not to implement it. Is that true or am i misinformed?

Cross game voice chat is the kind of the thing that will be rolled out when it's ready. If Sony are going to give something out, it will be something else.

It is true that the service is free and technically they owe me nothing, yet it is their responsibility to maintain PSN and make sure that existing customers are satisfied with their purchase. At this moment I cannot play any game online or offline, so I am left with a beautiful BR Player and Home Entertainment System :)

So? lol systems break, it's just the same. Except you won't have to wait nearly as long to play games again.
