ok so why cant we put PSN games

It's just for this poll that we can't. I guess we could have included them no problem but I decided not to. I think the reason why is because it would increase the price discrepancy that much more. PSN games could be $5 and new retail games could be $60. If we only consider retail games then the lowest price is generally $20 but most games would be between $30-$60 which is not nearly as big of a difference as $5-$60. If you want later we could do an attach rate poll just for PSN games then we could determine an attach rate for both retail and PSN games. Then add them up for the total attach rate. Infact I might do that later this week. Thanks for the idea. But for the sake of this poll we do not include PSN games.

Well going bu these rules my numbers are as follows:

PS3: 2

Games: 83 (All non PSN games owned and not used)

being a lvl 8 with that many games is sure impressive =o

Isn't it? If I wasn't so busy with life I'd actually get to finish some of my games.....

I am the Playstation Avenger.

PS3: 1
Games: 19

I've bought many used games before because $60 retail is a ridiculous price to pay for a game in my opinion. I don't care if it's worth it, I know that it will eventually devalue and I'll be able to pick it up for less, just not on release date. Still, once I buy a game I tend to keep it in my collection and not sell it back. That's why I don't buy on release date, do my research and test before purchase.

I don't get it.. why don't used games count?

Weren't they sold to another customer somewhere down the line and then sold to you? it makes no sense to me to leave them out.. I have like a few games that are used 1-3.. don't remember how many..

Thanks for approving. :]

I kinda explained why used games are not counted a few posts above.

Bumb for more votes...

The official Vita thread http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=130023&page=1

According to my calculations the attach Rate for the fist 70 voters is 17.76. I did this by giving each vote in a section the average value of that section and then added all the values up then divided by the number of votes. I know this method is not perfect but it's rather quick and easy to get a rough estimate. The first 70 voters owned 1243 and a half! games according to this method.
For those that skim posts...

17.76 attach rate for first 70 votes.

why would a used game not count? You have setup a zero sum end game for attach rate.If I purchased 100 games, trade them all in for, say 20 games, my 'attach rate' is only 1/5th what it was before, and yet the attach rate of whoever buys those used  games does not go up. So games are dissappearing. The end game is if everyone trades games with everyone else, the attach rate would be zero - even with millions of games sold.

What you are measuring is 'number of games purchased brand new and still in your possession'.

That is not the 'attach rate' for the console. It's just a weird, random factoid. NOw if you also polled "number of games you bought new and traded awau" and "number of games you bought used" then you could get a feel for the 2nd hand PS3 game market. That might useful to publishers. Or not.

Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'
