Icyedge said: Theres something very wrong, I was connected to PSN without any problem. All games were working. After reading this thread I decided to log off of PSN to see if I could lock back on. So well, I did log off, I wasnt able to log back, and the last game I was playing plus all PSN titles are not working even when the eternet cable is unconnect. Its very wrong, because no its not their server, I was connected to PSN 1 minute before and voluntarily disconnnect. It seems to me that someone may have been able to hack them and send some kind of keys to our PS3 that now prevent to log back or access our files. |
But that's how it works. If you are connected before the error happens you can stay connected, but if you log out and go back on the error will start. It's weird but it happens.

Thats why I think its not related to their server. Seems like a hack to me. Between, I restarted my PS3, and now I also have my flower theme that is corrupted (I think its only dynamic theme because they are related to a license) and my date is also fucked up to 12/31/1999. Im not sure what is causing the problems, but what I know is that preventing a consumer to access his own games while offline is a BIG problem.

I've been thinking this is a hack too. All of the things happening just seem a little too odd.

Yep, its been almost 4 years I use PS3 and PSN. This doesnt seem like a normal problem. Also PSN is not down, its us that cant connect to it. It seems that the PS3 is not even trying to connect. I have the feeling only a format will fix that, but ill wait before to see if they fix it or to make sure that the hack (or first PS3 virus) is not on the PSN server anymore. I may be very wrong, but I have a bad feeling about that. Even if someone at Sony would have made an error, removing your ability to play your own disc and PSN game while offline is just a little too much of an error.
