Forums - Gaming Discussion - GTA Chinatown Wars!?!?!

I have pspgo, GTA CW is 34,99 euro on PSN.

Its 29,99 euro in GameStop, on  UMD... Hold on... WHAT !?!?!?!

Its cheaper on UMD from GameStop, then directly from SONY PSN ?

NOW THE BEST PART.

GTA Chinatown Wars on ITunes for iphone and ipod touch is 7.99 euro!!

Can someone explain that in any way?

Well, it is rubbish in comparison on iPhone, the lack of actual controls is very damaging for a game like this

Well, content is still the same.

Controls dont make game cost less.

if sony makes it the same price (or less) then they are just competing with the biggest video game sellers on the planet, they dont want to piss them off, theyve already done that by making the psp go, they dont wanna go now and make theyre pricing on psn better than the physical media

DS version is prob same price as Iphone version.

I think the PSPGo is a money pit, and Sony are slowly trying to recover the costs.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Sony wants your moneys.

They make more money by offering d/l version, skipping all the retail space, shipping, printing, etc... and still charge more than the physical copy. Something not adding up.

okay, think about what would happen if they decided to beat the retailer price....you think gamestop/other retailers would be okay with that? especially since they have to sell the psp go, umm no, they wouldnt be okay with it, thats what adds up

By your logic, d/l games will always be equal or higher priced than physical edition.

Then... why bother?
