That Sony ad Mr. Khan posted shows the difference between Nintendo and Sony style marketing, in the UK at least. "The game that's taken Japan by storm" is such a bad line, nobody cares if something is popular in Japan, lots of weird stuff becomes popular there.

When did Nintendo ads suddenly become...negative? Did Nintendo have to do a 180 and start making fun of popular shows for attention? I donno....I'm sure this will increase the sales for the games somewhat, but you catch for flies with honey.
Frankly speaking, these commercials will most likely only appeal to certain people. And that's NOT the effect you want to go for.
As a side note: I hope the fact that this game is getting commercials and things is a good sign that Dragon Quest IX will as well.

^Negative? It's not negative, it's humorous. It's making light hearted fun, it's not even really trying to make a dig at people who hunt.

They're over a minute long so i'm guessing it's just an internet viral campaign.

They'll probably make their way onto TV when the release date gets close enough. You could definitely condense both of them into a 30-second TV spot.
