To me the Playstation 3 is still a new console. I have rcently started playing it even thoguh i bought it 2 years ago. (I was playing mainly xbox). I really son't want sony to bring another console out for at least another 4 years. However I havce read reports online saying that sony is thinking about making a mult-core processor instead of another cell. What do you guys think this means? Do you think cores are better than cells? When do you think it will come out?

This may sound crazy, but no earlier than late 2014, early/mid 2015. There is no need to upgrade the ps3 for many years, they still haven't even begun to use its full potential.

Sony's regular 10 year plan was riuned a bit by the PS3 coming out a year late, I can see 10 years becoming 12 so I expect the PS4 to be released in 2012.

who thinks nintendo or MS is going to release a console anytime soon? Ps3 and 360 both have periphs launching this year. Whats the rush with ending the life of those early?
