Well he is a smart man, his favorite FF is my favorite game of all time after all!

Has any game been more hated by people who haven't played it yet in the history of games?

So many opinions on the least important part of these games.

Now, for me :

1. how is the story?
2. How's the gameplay?
3. How's the presentation?
4. Will it keep me interested throughout?
5. Please don't be like FFVII

You obviously haven't heard Zen's shtick before. Everything wrong with the world is because of Sony fans, and all the complaints for games like FF13 are because they used to be PS3 exclusives.

I'm glad about 85% of those people who detest the game yet haven't played it aren't reviewers.

This will probably rank somewhere on my Top 5 Final Fantasy choices. This installment should receive many accolades for its Paradigm Shift system.

Great game as RPG...But normal game as FF...i think that lame storyline ruins epic battle system. just my opinion

I went a little overboard saying "most reviewers" honestly, but I do however, believe that at least one reviewer, somewhere, will realize that we cannot prove that they are biased, and I also theorize that at least one reviewer, somewhere, is biased, and that bias will affect their opinion of the game.

I think that happens with every multiplat, in every review, and even moreso during exclusives.

This game, imo, is the most polarizing multiplat so far this generation, and I believe it might be affected by this phenomonon moreso than other games. That said, yes, I do believe that a review score isn't generally indicative of a games quality absolutely(just look at some of the swings in review score for partiular games from one site to another), however, I also believe that yes, XIII, like every other game, should be properly judged by that standard, simply because its the only one we have. If we had, say, a thousand professional reviews for a game, the law of large numbers would make our system more accurate, but often times, we're going off, say 20...

Whatever pattern Montana sees in my posting pattern regarding my attitude towards Sony fans is moot, as I've openly admitted several times that I believe Sony fans on the internet sometimes outnumber fans of competing consoles, and occasionally that number difference(sometimes vast) gives their fanbase greater influence. That's the extent of my apparent foeboism. I don't believe bias people are evil, but I do factor them in to my opinions. The where and why of that is, that by pointing out the influence quotent of fans, I have proven myself to be biased, because imo, someone who wasn't biased would have no motivation to speak out against such things.

I would pose this question. If I assume biased people are evil, would I not also assume that I myself am evil, and in essence, damn myself with every hypocritical post I make? No, no, sir. Biased people are not evil. They are just people. Picking sides is in their nature as it is mine. No one is completely unbiased.

I expect to think something like "this game has a high production value, and has been thought out very well, but still is the same old FF and doesn't bring anything new to the table". Kinda like the last few FF games.

Ill enjoy it a lot. It will probably take the 3rd or 4th spot on my all time list. Although I'll probably think there should be more

I'm almost positive that I will enjoy the game but will be forgotten rather fast. Just from what I've seen here most FF fans are very attached to whatever was their first FF/JRPG experience. For me that was FF3 (aka 6). I also expect it to be the first FF to get below 90 in the main series from Metacritic
