Introduction
Someone made a thread about RPG Maker XP a year ago, I downloaded it & tried to get into a it but got bored & forgot about it eventually.
In January after my exams Jneul told me about the RPG Inventor she was working on, that got me interested in RPG Maker & as I suddenly had lots of spare time I downloaded the latest RPG Maker which is, VX, much more user friendly than RPG Maker XP.
After seeing youtube tutorials I have been able to make a simple dungeon & a few random story events....I've got the hang of it now & I'm addicted to it!!
Important Note -- THIS ONLY ALLOWS 2D RPG's TO BE MADE...so SNES/2D DS STYLE RPG'S can be made. It allows action based & turn based gameplay to be made..

The basic idea behind the club is to make RPG's & submit em here where fellow VGChartz players can try em out & rate your creations.
You don't have to make an RPG on the level of a FF or Bioware game, it can be 10 minutes long or 10 hours long, it doesn't matter, this is just all for fun!
In fact you don't even have to make it an RPG, it can just be a 2D movie that plays itself (see tutorials below for info on how to do this)

Now its a 30 day trial, but if you go on youtube & don't mind being naughty the 30 day trial can be avoided by a few very simple tricks, but telling you all the specifics here would be encouraging piracy so I won't do that, you can PM me for more details. The videos on youtube detaling how to do it haven't been taken offline so the company isn't being too strict it seems.

This is where your "RPG's" will go in first, the idea is that you tell us the tentative name of your RPG & its status, In-production usually means ye know making the story/plot, maps, characters, gameplay mechanics......so on & so forth.

A story about day to day life & problems real people face, this is not an RPG about saving the world or the princess, its an RPG about day to day issues in life with characters from 3 different age groups, issues like doing your biology homework on time, not fighting with your wife/husband & dealing with money issues as an elderly person (they are just really early idea's & obviously just a general guideline).

General Description --
Its about the young Boy Ari, who lost his Brother in a Stormy Night. He knows for sure that his Brother has 'left' them, becaus Ari was told so, but he didnt get it because he thought he's dreaming.
The next Day, he woke up alone in his Home Village, with all the People still there, but without his Brother. (i wont spoiler more details for the Beginning)
but 10 Years (!) later, he received a letter, Leading to a very specific town (who do i call a BIG location in english? <.< just City?), with the call for Help.
He never forgot the Pain his Brother caused on him by leaving, but at the same time, it was hope for him to see his brother again.
The City (? <.<) itself isnt an ordinary one, that's what Ari's thinking about it when he arrives, with people very 'strange' acting when they see him.. further details later.

The Game takes place in a small (until now unnamed) Country on the north of a big continent. In the north it borders to the sea. In the southeast there is a seemingly endless Dessert. To the east and west are high mountains.
Places you visit in the early game (and I nearly comleted):
Home (small farm where the hero lives)
Einheim (River, the biggest freshwater supply for the country)
Einheimwald (Onehomewoods^^ - A Forest located in the northwest, weak enemies, a huge tower in the northern part of the forest. You have to go through these to get to Leizen.)
Einheimebene (Plains around the River of Einheim)
Leizen (City on the shore of the Einheim)

Post-Production
Right your RPG will be added to this section when you have finished it, all that will remain is bug testing, making a trailer (if you wish) & polishing it up.
When your RPg goes here you will have to give me a logo for it & a detailed description, basically like how "real game developers" give descriptions for their game.
Ofcourse you don't have to but admit it, it would be quite cool to do that!
Obviously right now we have no RPG's here!!

While your RPG is in production it would be cool if you could give us daily or weekly updates on how production is going, speak about problems you may be having, so on & so forth!
If you have any questions at all do ask them, also you can use the FAQ section the RPG Maker VX website. Ofcourse if you are using RPG Maker XP you can still be a part of this club!
Any ideas to help improve this will be appreciated, this is a community club thing after all!
