Forums - Sales Discussion - America HW up! ( lock the other thread, I apologies)

I'm expecting Wii to be on the positive side of flat in others, but that'll make Wii overall still down 60,000 YoY, worse than last week.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I hope that SCEA sort out PS3 availability by early March.

If they do, I think we could see a couple of weeks at 120k (FFXIII, GOW3).

That's a big "if", though.

Nintendo hardware > 50% market share overall. Looks like yet another dominating year coming up.

That's almost always true. What's unfortunate is that Wii < HD. Damn, I can't believe Nintendo reduced production....

Thats cool. 45% market share vs 48% or 52% is still pretty great. Remember the once great Playstation brand with its mighty mega powerful hardware is squelshed under the heel of some cheap $100 last generation hardware. Ditto for the Xbox 360, so why not be happy and smile every week that the two arrogant console makers get their ass handed to them?

Smile!

I'm pretty sure you can discuss it on the actual sales page.

Well they better especially for FFXIII's launch

as people who will go out to buy consoles for FF13 may buy PS3's

& if those people see PS3's out of stock you can bet your house that they will definetely buy xbox 360's instead in order to play FF13 on day one.

SONY must get this stock problem sorted by 9th March

With God Of War 3 its ok as those people who see PS3's out of stock will wait until they are in stock as GOW3 is only available on PS3.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

If you're not growing, you're dying. If Wii was having these numbers without shortages, especially after Nintendo released software that sold fantastic, we could expect Wii to decline very quickly from here on out. Fortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

There are always shortages! LOL Wii is just a funny piece of hardware at that. I think the decline is probably due to a lack of Wii Fit etc.

I wonder what the next generation hardware will look like? Probably $250 again but with a camera and X86 processor for PC compatibility?

I think people just want to be the one to create threads.  If they're going to do this, they could at leat add a little commentary, and leave the broken HTML code out of their post.

if u can beat him to it, you do it
