Awesome! This may be my favorite use of the Wii-mote ever (read: useful and minimal), looks like a seriously good game and one I can get behind (I was pretty unhappy with Prime, Metroid just shouldn't be an FPS). Bring on Other M!

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
Even if the game has too many cutscenes or maybe the controls are too simple, I am really happy to see Nintendo trying something different. Even if it may not meet expectations, at least we can go on knowing they did not play things safe again.
So far, so good.

Depends on a lot of things. It really seems to have the core gamer behind it, so it should at least perform equal to Prime 3, but i'm wondering if they can't get the simplicity of the controls down pat, they could potentially re-build it for mass appeal
The problem against mass appeal, of course, is the story.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

mainstream audiences love some sort of story, most hits on all consoles (when we talk about gamers games), like GTA4 or Assasins creed 1 or 2 enjoy some degree of story, and those are wide appeal games, far from niche. Is not like Ninty wants the Mario bross wii crowd , but more the gamer crowd that buys Call of Duties(on the wii) ,and those games had some level of story.
^Most of the big hits have little or no story actually
Look at the top 30 games, most have little in the way of story
