Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why third-parties doesn't do ads for their Wii exclusive titles?

It's because developers see the woeful sales of highly advertised games like Just Dance.

Just Dance being a hit has no reflection on how other games could do with advertising. It just shows there is a demand for games like that on the Wii.

There are several other dance games on the Wii and this one has sold by far the best.

Why?  Great advertising.

There are plenty of Wii games that receive more advertising and don't sell as well.

Why? Because they aren't dance games.

Because Wii ads without Mario are fail.

Uhhh... TvC, Punch Out, Conduit, Overkill, Final Fantasy, Madworld, Need For Speed Nitro, RE:DC are a few that come to mind.

You'll probably argue the advertising campaigns they receieved. But the point is big advertising doesn't always equate to Just Dance sales.

It's one thing seeing third parties being completely stupid against the Wii, but seeing gamers defend them is in a league of its own. It's so damn obvious!

Punch Out, the Conduit, and Overkill are the only of these three that I remember having decent advertising.  Punch Out has sold over a million copies, The Conduit was a completley unknown property, and Overkill hasn't done that badly considering that It was one of the most illegaly played games of last year.

The others had little to no advertisements.  For example, I didn't even know that Need For Speed: Nitro was even out.  :p

I can argue that none of them had a bigger advertising campaign than Just Dance. And out of the ones you listed how many received TV ads?

The three I singled out.  LOL
