Should be relabeled "haters' score"

Agreed. Metacritics purpose is for grouping many different reputable sites/magazine review scores for people to use as a reference, not the aggregated user score of children and fanboys who waste everybodies time putting down bogus scores.

like teletext that gave the game a 40/100 saying "An interactive movie where the gameplay is as basic and two-dimensional as the story and acting". Metacritic need to get rid of user score due to fanboys and start screening reviews from well known and professional sites. Not thrash like teletext.

Disclaimer: I have not played this game nor will I play it since I don't have a PS3. But, being curious, I HAVE watched some game gameplay videos, and frankly, they left me VERY indifferent (and that's being polite), for a variety of reasons. So I can see how some would legitimately think this game is not the greatest thing since the wheel. Quite probably a lot of the down grades ARE from haters/fanboys, I would simply not count on all of them being so.

i agree people might not like the game but on metacritc you can vote and give your reason why.In heavy rain there are no comments whatsoever.

Alright, Teletext didn't like it, big deal. They were fine when they gave Uncharted 2 a 9/10 thought right? Or when they gave LBP a 9/10?

Everyone loves Gamespot all of a sudden but I remember when PS3 fans hated them.

 

Not everyone likes every game. Good reputation isn't based on how many high scores you give to a console's exclusives.

it's a game not a lot of people will like.

Who cares? I grew up playing PC adventure games.
This is the closest thing to that.

I'll enjoy this game regardless of any scores.

Still remember the one about LBP being a the worst turn based RPG ever. XD

Not sure what you mean, as I didn't vote for this game (nor am I going to). If you meant in general, of course I agree, but unfortunately even in Amazon anyone can write a game review, whether they actually played the game or not... (which is probably why they fairly recently added the "Amazon Verified Purchase" tag to reviews where the reviewer actually bought the game through Amazon)

By "you" he meant "they", the people who gave the game a low score without hate, but without having the game either.
