I noticed this when i was looking to see if the score had reached 90.To my horror i saw that after 158 votes the user score is 6.1???

Could it be that the game was way overhyped?

no most likely fanboys are voting now.i have played 3 hours of the game and as a shooter action type fan i love this game eventhough it has none of those in it.it makes you feel something.

i agree the game is a masterpiece.It just sucks to know that fanboys are ruining the rep of the game. I would use metacritic user reviews to get some of my games and im glad i never looked at heavy rains user score before buying. The game is amazing.

Can't wait to go home today, it should be waiting for me from Gamefly.

I'll let you know if I think the userscore is right, in my opinion anyways. I loved the demo and for some reason I love QTEs. Go Ninja Blade!

People usually just give 0's and 3's if they don't like the game.

Also you guys should never go by Metacritic user reviews, it is for noobs.

I have always liked using IGNs user reviews. It usually has much more than metacritic and more times than not it closely mirrors the press score. In some occassion it surpasses the press score and more times than not I find the user scores to be spot on for the games and genres I enjoy.

Theres probably alot of haters and fanboys posting. (It happens with most big exclusives) I would expect it to raise a bit once the game has been out a while. That being said it is a love it/hate it kind of game and it obviously isnt for everybody.

Agreed. Metacritics purpose is for grouping many different reputable sites/magazine review scores for people to use as a reference, not the aggregated user score of children and fanboys who waste everybodies time putting down bogus scores.
