Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What series could use Vitality Sensor and benefit

this is taken from an article i posted a few days ago:

The sensors are coming
Meanwhile, Nintendo has teased the Wii Vitality Sensor, a peripheral device also expected out this year that attaches to players' fingertips and can measure their body signals. Much like the Microsoft and Sony camera systems, developers believe such technology can provide more specialized experiences, like a zombie game that unleashes more undead if a gamer seems bored.

"It's this whole sensory thing that we've never had — a window to the player's sort of mental state — or with the Wii, the biometrics that we can tune and tweak to customize an experience that way," said Morgan Gray, senior producer at "Resident Evil" developer Capcom. "That is exciting because now it's a two-way dialogue between the player and the game."

To me this says that there is a RE game in the works with vitality sensor, if we will ever see the game or not I dont know but obviously they are ecperimenting with one.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.
Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.

Is marijuana the best medicine?

Heh So for easy mode make sure you do not get bored!!! For hard mode Make sure you are bored!

wii fit3 because it could probably tell you your heart rate and possibly diagnose you with diabetes and, I'm not joking because it really looks like a medical tool you'd see at a hospital and your heart rate is impotent for losing weight, and it could probably tell you your diabetic BY your heart rate and in that case it would probably tell you not to workout and seek medical attention cause if you have heart problems and don't no about it and decide to run for 30mins you could suffer a stroke, heart attack chest pains and that is what the vitality sensor is about, but I could imagine (alasky using it in their trauma team games) but hell why not just sell a bunch of wii defibulators so when a problem really goes down trauma team the game can really give you a tutorial on saving someones life............ the vsenor isn't for people who want games its for casual ppl..........

Looking at the charts these people with the made up label "casuals" do want the games....

Not to mention Capcoms idea. It can and just might be used in many different types of games. Which would be great.

now that I think about it why not pick up wii fit2 when it comes out cause this vitality sensor with new workout software could this time really possibly be as good as guidance and I wouldn't need to pay someone for guidance, when your conditioning your heart rate is everything and how long you keep it up for and slowly bringing it down to not risk med problems plus the game would no if your working hard enough amd flatout no if your cheating through your workouts, but I'd recommend the combination of the vsensor and the next wii fit cause, Do you want to be a fatass videogamer or a ROCK hard badass videogamer............get to the gym and train fatass

no it wouldn't be great but it would be great if more lazy ppl started working out unstead of eating junkfood all day because then nintendo would be 1st richest company in japan instead of 2nd behind toyota............

actually someone said something here that made me think otherwise, "unleash more zombies if the player seems board" that actually does sound like a good idea but I'm not so sure if someone would actually buy it for that kind of purpose, maybe it could give you a lie detector test since the test reads your heart rate after every question and judges if your lying by your heart rate......... I don't think this thing is going to do as good as the balance board did unless its bundled with a wii fit game though but I think it will be used in a few games but I cant imagine a fps, rts, or rpg game but I already said "team trauma" this could work in that game............

btw regular ppl do own wii's and I'm not trying to be an ass but thats what they are is regular ppl who don't ordinarly play games for instance my friends mom owns a wii and my girlfriends mom owns a wii and they both own the same exact games wiifit, wiisport and thats all as far as I no........... plus my gfs grandparents are probably going to get on to..........

As many has said, the sanitys meter in Eternal Darkness is the perfect feature for the Vitality Sensor.

But, as many of you remember, Eternal Darkness is not longer a Nintendo franchise.

I really really hope somebody makes a zombie game that unleashes more undead if you seem bored.  I'd try so hard to stay bored until there were BILLIONS of zombies, and if that didn't entertain me, I guess that would make me a zombie.
