I just got it myself. Seems a lot snappier and well thought out than before. In game steam menu shows a lot more contextual information.

Now using a WebKit based rendering engine for the client and in-game overlay web browsing components (replacing Internet Explorer)

Skipped to the bottom of the list of improvements, and saw this.  This makes me very very happy.

I don't like the color.... It also takes up too much space and holds less information, or at least I feel that way.

It doesn't feel nearly as responsive as the old version. I'll stick with the current one until they optimize this thing.

well, it seemed to launch games faster for me. I haven't really tested much else

it looks good and I think it's cool that it list the friends that play each game, but it's fucking slow. hopefully it will get faster.

can someone tell me how to get out of this shit? the options in the menu don't even appear, so I dunno what option is "Settings". thanks.

edit: nvm, if I put "-clearbeta" in the shortcut it goes back to normal.

I'm not sure if I'm okay with this. Only time will tell.
