Forums - Gaming - Question about final fantasy.

I've never played a final fantasy game and theres a lot of hype on this forum and other for FF13, I was thinking about buying it for the 360.

I don't have a ps3 so I can't have the "superior" version, but is this the best way to get into final fantasy? I mean if this is the 13th, does that mean i'm missing like 12 other games that have story that i'm missing? Should I play a previous game to help prepare for this game story wise? Thats one of the things about games that I really like and final fantasy seems to have an interesting storyline.

Any advice is appreciated.

Around the Network

Every main Final Fantasy is independent.

New characters, new stories, new world.

No worries there.

Final Fantasy games aren't interconnected in any way, so it doesn't really matter which one you begin with.

That said, FF13 does seem to be a bit more westernized than most other iterations. But give it a go, if you like it, you can always try to dwell deeper into the series afterwards.

Hmm okay that helps a lot. That's both good and bad I guess that they aren't connected storywise to each other lol. So starting with 13 will be okay. Cool.

Cool I'd like to know what a newcomer like you thinks about FFXIII

apparently the game has been designed for people like you....so it should be a GREAT game to start off the series with

oh & ignore the "inferior/superior" talk, when your immersed in the action, story & epic game you won't care if one pixel looks worse than the PS3 version of the game
