Interesting probably not true though. Guess we well see.
I'd hope for nintendo's next system to come sooner than both sony's and microsoft's...i really would like a nintendo system that's at least comparable to the 360/ps3, if not better.
hmm.. I'd be surprised if this was real ..
the Wii sells very very well, so I don't see any need to launch a successor this year
nintendo wii dual layer DVD its a DVD u can even copy them with a old DVD recorder.
I laughed as soon as I saw blu ray.

Third quarter 2010, huh?
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.
Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
The only difference a Wii (HD) with Blu Ray would effectively be in game scaling, HDMI support and Blu Ray playback as well as beefed up ram for internet. Now the could do this if they really wanted to. The HD 5450 uses less than 25W as a standalone board so they could use it and its native media decoding capabilities as well as its ability to run Wii games at a higher native resolution.
$200 for a vanilla Wii and $300-350 for an upgraded Wii? Sounds pretty stupid but if they wanted to they could. It'd be a killer Blu Ray player given you get a remote standard and it'd use like 1/4 the power of the PS3 during movies.
These are the same specs that were 'leaked' about a year ago and were denied.
I could believe most of that stuff.. except for Blu ray.. there's no way.
Yea, I call bs also. Two things that stand out as complete bs = third quarter 2010 release date and blue ray player. I could come up with a more believable system spec/ release date than this.... Nintendo would never use blue ray and they would never release the successor this soon (especially when the Wii is raking in money). Should have least said fall 2012 and left the blue ray out..
