RBF cover Come On Eileen too? I used to have the Save Farris version on my computer a long time ago.

The RBF cover is really fun and lively. I was put off it when I found out Gwen Stefani was the guest singer for the track but I got over it : )

Some nice covers:
Word Up by Korn - Original by Cameo
I Will Survive by Cake - Original by Gloria Gaynor
Fuel my Fire by The Prodigy - Original by L7
Sweet Dreams by Marilyn Manson - Original by Eurythmics
Planet Caravan by Pantera - Original by Black Sabbath
Demon Cleaner Live cover by Tool - Original by Kyuss

there's a lot more but those are the first that came to mind

I disagree with the OP in that Jeff Buckley did the best cover of Hallelujah. His voice is just way prettier than Wainwright's:

And this may sound like blasphemy but I prefer Fiona Apple's cover of Across The Universe to the original (though both are brilliant):

I was wondering how long it would take someone to bring up the Buckley version of this song. Took longer than I thought!

All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix, much prefer it to the original version by Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan is the most god-awful singer in the history of music.

Bob Dylan is the most god-awful singer in the history of music.

He's also one of the greatest writers in the history of music. Personally, I go back and forth on him depending on the song. Some I think his voice fits perfectly, others not so much.

Bob Dylan's voice is kind of like a harmonica in a lot of ways, and definitely an acquired taste.

I still don't think anyone did Knockin' On Heaven's Door better than he did.

There are a few songs of his that I adore with Times They Are a Changin' and Lay Lady Lay probably being my favorites.
