AW is making sony only owners like myself jealous played the HR demo and i wouldnt of cared if HR was on 360 only

playing as many characters, difficult/awkward walking, and constant camera changing like the old REs made me pass on HR

also AW is gettin DLC and should be getting sequels idk wat is up wit HR if it will see sequels but wat AW is doing is making it sound like it will be a epic series kinda like SH RE Siren, that will attract more to it

I get that you didn't like HEAVY RAIN, many people won't, but your post is pretty one-sided without even playing both.

Alan Wake will probably more than double HR's sales. AW is going to be one awesome game that consumers are obviously more attracted too.

like a few others said. i'd have to go with alan wake barring any unforeseen problems w/ the game.
purely based on the basic storyline, genre, and teasers (haven't tried the heavy rain demo not to spoil anything) i'd much rather have the alan wake exclusive

Alone in the dark! Finally! That's the name of the game i was looking for. Its been bothering me for a long time, i think AW looks alot like Alone in the Dark.. a bit off topic. Anyways.

Alan Wake is the sure winner. More traditional, bigger installbase, stronger genre and in tune with market segment. Heavy Rain is non traditional, lower installbase, unfamiliar genre.. but is somewhat in tune with the market segment of the PS3.

It would be a big upset if AW didnt do bigger numbers than HR.

Alan Wake will be the clear winner, outselling Heavy Rain atleast 2:1. Besides the 360 having a bigger installed base and Alan Wake being a more "approachable" game, we have seen time and again that the 360 is able to push software like no other this gen (especially for a shooter).

oh and MS will spend a pretty penny marketing it.

Alan Wake will have much stronger sales than Heavy Rain. Alan Wake gameplay is more mainstream. Heavy Rain is a niche game. Alan Wake should sell around double the amount of Heavy Rain in ltd sales.

Alan Wake will crush Heavy Rain in sales. Beat it good.
