Jacks back and looking for revenge, this is a letter he sent toCalifornia's State Senator leland Yee

Dear Senator Yee:

My old boss, Sam Powers, taught me that if the other side talks long enough, they will give you all you need to win. In that vein, please take a look at what Activision's CEO just admitted about video game addiction:

"Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick is definitely not afraid to speak his mind, which may or may not be a good thing for investors in his company. His recent comments at the D.I.C.E. Summit did nothing to change that perception.

While Kotaku labeled his speech "warm and fuzzy," one section of his talk centered on why he doesn't play games anymore, and caught our attention:
I play from time to time, but the nature of my personality is such that if I was regularly playing Modern Warfare 2, I would not be able to stop and it would be at the expense of all my regular responsibilities.
What does it say about the addictiveness of videogames if the CEO of the third largest publisher in the world can't play games because of his addictive personality?"

This admission flies in the face of video game industry spokespersons' false, sometimes perjured assertions, that video games do not affect the behavior of minors. Here is a full-grown adult (at least in chronological terms) admitting just the opposite.

I hope that Senator Yee reads this letter and uses his power to get this letter where it belongs:

He said he had an addictive personality... not that video games are addictive. People with addictive personalities will get addicted to anything they enjoy, you numpty Thompson.

How did a guy like this even pass the bar exam in the first place? Isn't it supposed to be hard or something?

So I guess no one should ever read a good book or play a fun sports game...

This doesn't mean video games are dangerously addictive, it just shows Mr Thompson low level of control over his brain. He should train his self-discipline.

Yeah sure games are addictive, I bet this clown watches TV and movies all the time though, like THAT'S any better..

It's like my parents. They keep telling me not to play games so much because apparently they are addictive, yet they spend hours a day in front of the TV. At least I'm using some brain power and interactivity with my media.

And here I was, enjoying the peace of less shit stinking up the industry. Guess that's what that foul wind was...

Anyway, I hope this never makes it to Yee's desk. I hope that it gets filtered out by some minion and goes into the recycle bin... to be recycled when anyone needs a reminder why he was disbarred...
