First of all this thread should have ended about 40 posts ago since everything in here is pure speculation and nothing more.

Second of all that video that you posted did the exact opposite of what you intended it to do. Every PS3 fan praises Killzone 2's AI so I was expecting to be wowed. I would go as far as to say that the AI in Killzone 2, based off what I have seen, is bellow average. Why were some of the enemy charging the player without shooting their gun? Why did the AI go to the same piece of cover over and over again, look at the player and not shoot a single bullet at him? Why did not a single enemy AI fight the player as he sat atop the stairs picking them off? Half the time the enemy bunched up into big groups so that they could all be killed by one of the seemingly infinite grenades the player had and not once did I see one of the enemy AI try to jump or run away from a grenade. Heck I even saw an enemy AI get shot, look at the player and then turn away to engage something else.

One of the big things in Halo is the enemy AI, I have actually sat in and listened to lectures on programming dynamic AI's in videogames and Halo is one of the prime examples. If your going try to discredit a franchise known for, among many other things, its great AI you should use a better video than that.

And to address one of your questions about the grenades.. The longer you take to throw it, the faster it explodes. -everyone knows that..

That's exactly the kind of excuse that people will use. Do you have any proof to support your claim?

What EGM said is true, the flaws in Killzone 2 (AI) are very noticeable and your own video can prove that.

Next time I will report you because I hate when someone is trying to derail a good thread using exclusives to start a console war. And you are just giving a negative comment in this thread without ANY logic at all, so what's the point? You can simply stay away from the thread.

So because its a walk-through the AI is immediately dumbed down? Does the walk-through also turn off the ability for the enemy AI to flank you or try to finish you off when your hiding behind a dinky crate with almost no health?

The Elites, heck even the grunts in Halo:CE were diving away from grenades back in 2001. You would think that if an enemy AI saw a grenade flying at him he would jump out of the way but apparently not. I guess that dude with the flamethrower likes standing on grenades for three seconds before they blow up.

Also nice job on the trolling at the end there. Just because you have weak arguments that are easily picked apart doesn't mean you should become so defensive and threatened.

The site that has the technical piece on Halo 3 AI is down so educate yourself with these two articles from Halo 2 before trying to make any more weak statements.

Go ahead and report. nothing is wrong with a simple debate. My point is, its not possible for them to make 200 smart AI's, and I'm staying with that until I see it done. Obviously some people get sore, or in other words, baited. I don't expect you to understand that lol

No that was not your point. You posted a video of Killzone 2 and said that you doubt Halo Reach will have AI as good. No where did you say the word 200.

Once you realized you couldn't beat me in an argument you tried to change the topic. I never said the Halo Reach will have 200 smart AI on screen, go look at my first post if you want. You on the other hand came into a thread purporting to show a game with amazing AI and what you claimed clearly wasn't true. All you proved was that games that were released years before Killzone 2 have better AI.

I don't get sore over online arguments and as far as understanding goes I think its pretty clear who has a deeper understanding of the topic in this thread so no need for you to expect anything. Next time before jumping into the middle of a debate do some research or else you can expect to be challenged on your falsities.

My first post here was about heavenly sword. Basicly showing over 1000 enemy AI in a large open area. that was the point I was making. had nothing to do with anything here. Yet you fell for it and challenged it.

You cry and say they are "Zombies" So i showed you some smarter AI's than heavenly sword. Thats where killzone 2 came in. Yet you fail to see my point or maybe its just a case of mistranslation. Or you just like being sore over Halo?
