I realize Mario and Sonic having a crossover as Olympic athletes has disappointed many, but the sales show many like this crossover anyway.
Of course the real crossover many of you want is a platformer. But being a 3D one was out of the question considering that would mean Sonic would be in 3D. And we know what that would mean.
A 2D one would be ideal, but Nintendo didn't seem to be interested in that for a while, but now that NSMBWii is a smash hit, and Sega seems to be trying for 2D Sonic, using both the team that made Sonic Rush and the senior level designer for Sonic 3, this could be the 2D kick for that series as well.
Hopefully this will convince these guys to do the crossover you've all dreamed of.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
