Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.

Jumping from DDR2 to DDR3 doesn't make that much of a difference either, so you could cut costs by just getting a new CPU and another 2 GB of memory. |
The F8E Bios version is in beta phase and I'm not sure if there is going to be a stable release (Version F7 was relased in 2008) and without F8E only handful of AM3 Phenoms are supported.
My best advice is to start completely over and build a system $800+, the more you spend usually the more you get unless you get ripped

To a certain degree, after which you get severely diminishing returns.
If you spend more than 200$ on a CPU, you're getting less value for your money - that's where the sweetspot is right now.
hmmm? are you sure? I am not saying you are wrong but like for example i have the ati 5870 and it is much more powerful then the 4870, also the ati 5770 has pretty much the same performance as the 4870. Just noting that, im not gonna list anymore.
