So God of War 1 can be played with 190MB of data and they are expecting me to believe that God of War 3 *requires* 35GB? Im calling bulllllshit. The moment they offer this for direct download im betting it'll be under 10GB.

Where did it say it requires it? It just uses that data

Im just saying its yet another over exageration.

2. It is not an exaggeration, the quote in the title just says there is 35GBs being used

Actually I retract my statement. They probably ARE using 35GB of space on 7.1 lossless audio and textures, but the difference being that they are likely pre-baking lighting into the textures so the one texture may be used in multiple different levels but is stored many times due to the varying lighting conditions pre-baked into them. A very last generation technique but effective.

Definitely not for the graphics. Those graphics take a few gigabytes at most since theyre obviously not anything special or high rez.

OT: Sounds good, though this should be in the Official Thread. For compairson sake, MGS4 is the other big PS3 exclusive game (in terms of size) clocking in @ 33GB.

What are they going to do with it? that's what I meant.

Guess you will have to play it to find out, but if recent footage is anything to go by, they are doing plenty. Not to mention the game is 20 hours long.

I'm sure it's more like 10 hrs, but if true thats amazing. GOTY confirmed.

I would like to point out that this gen's game which had the absolutely largest amount of pure content was SSBB and the countless hats off they had for all the Nintendo games. They fit that on one DVD. So I don't know what they can stick in GOW3 other than a ton of HD Movie, which is not a good thing unless they are commentaries and other such things.

not anything special? a reviewer said they are at least equal to Uncharted 2,if not better. And you can tell anything about UC2,except that its visuals are less than jaw - dropping.

Yeah isnt it amazing?We weren't used to that much duration on action games these years.Before they announced it I was expecting it would be smaller Than the first God of War :) Says a lot about other companies comments about HD graphics being hard to handle...
