These are the reason why i'm not sure if i should buy it. If I don't make up my mind in time I'm just gonna pick up Heavy Rain and MAG and call it a day. |
It is worth a purchase...but not 59.99

Yes, doing the same moves over and over is so deep.
I think it is "worth" the purchase at 54.99 (amazon). I have the game and like everyone else has said, the game dazzles online. I have not actually finished the game, but I am really addicted to jumping online with 3 friends and taking down some of the larger beast that live in this well fleshed out virtual world. The game has some humor as well that will just adds to the already wonderful package. The fact that you can customize the main character is just icing on the cake. If I had to choose all over again which game to buy between star ocean TLH international and WKC, I would still choose WKC.

Well u can personize like no other jrpg, even FFXII (i love it) its more limited, but if u dont took advantage of this its ur problem, every game in the world consist in do the same things over and over again, thats a stupid argument.

I took full advantage of every ability/combo I could make. In the end there was just no real satisfaction in doing any of them. In the end it was still just:
Hit X....."Wait"........Hit X......"Wait".....Move Right..Hit X........."Wait".....Move over to Combo005....Hit X...."Wait".....Scroll down to magic....Hit X........"Wait"
It was this over and OVER. and don't mind that every ability except like a VERY short few is very boring to use and is hardly worth the time of even alloting the points into. Also don't take into account that if you press X the whole time on one ability and fight everything while watching a movie you will NEVER die even in the hardest of places in the game.
As mentioned several times already- it was mediocre. I'm a huge fan of Level-5's previous works (Dark Cloud 2 ranks among my favourite RPGs), but this was really underwhelming.
Xxain said: Simple...It was suppose to a huge 2nd party JRPG developed by a respected but developer.. but it apparently turned out worse that lost of the JRPG's already out. Its not a bad game Just didnt meet the Xxpectataions for it.. if it was released in 2008 - 2009, it would have been bigger |
It was....and it got like a 29 from Famitsu
