im at uni and everyone in my corridor is playing AoE3 LAN matches. however i cant because for me it just says CRC version mismatch. apparently i have an invalid file so i uninstalled and reinstalled. however the game keeps syaing it had knowin compatabillity issues! what do i do? is there a British help line i can call?

Are you running the same version as everyone else?

thats the thing im not using a crack, i went out and bought the game in a shop.
it does say this happens when your using a crack but im not

As long as you use the same crack (and obviously the same game version) it should run fine.

no we are all using legitimately bought discs, the other's work mine doesnt. i downloade dall the patches and updates, still doesnt work

Try a forum specific to AoE3. I am sure one exists.

Then just borrow the DVD from one them.
Install it, then type in your key and then use your DVD to play it.

At least you should be able to connect then.
