Forums - Gaming - The way I see it,Nomura won't release KH3 until next genersation.

I just read his interview about the future of the Kingdom Hearts series and it had me thinking of when Kingdom Hearts III will be released.

In the interview, Nomura says:

 

  • The next game in the series will not be called KH3 and will not star Sora. Instead, you will play another integral character. This game will connect the complicated stories spread across previous titles... but we've yet to hear about a platform or a release date.
  • He wants a KH title to be released every year in order to keep the fans pleased... presumably, at this rate, the next one will be coming in 2011... and I'm guessing that it'll be the one noted above.

    So that means we probably won't see the game until 2013 or 2014

    2013 is considered to be the year the 8th generation begins

    He also said:

    "When prompted to answer whether we'll see KH3 in 2012, Nomura refused to answer. However, this doesn't mean he doesn't want it out at all. he actually wants it out ASAP."

    If Nomura wants the game out as soon as possible, does that mean we will see KH3 out as soon as late 2011 or mid 2012.

    In my opinion, I don't think Nomura would want to rush the game to be finished and released.

    So I predict KH3 coming out at the beginning of the 8th generation but this opens up another question:

    WIll Kingdom Hearts III be a launch title for a upcoming console of the nexct generation?

    The way i see it, Nomura will definitely make KH3 once he's done with FF Versus XIII since he's putting all his time on that. The yearly KH games is probably just something to keep the series going to get more and new people hyping for the big release of KH3 for when it does come out.

    Surely itll come out this gen, has there ever been a series that's skipped a gen? (spin offs not included)

    Final Fanatsy Versus XIII wont be out until late 2011 or 2012. You know how those developers take so long to finish a Final Fantasy game. Which means that KH3 won't be out until 2013, which could be the year of the next generation.

    Yea im not saying KH3 will come out anytime soon.  Look at Final Fantasy 12 for PS2, it came out Oct 2006 in NA, same month as the release of PS3 lol.  So i wouldnt be surprised if we see KH3 around the same time as the release of PS4 unfortunately. 

    But i guess its better to take their time to make a quality game then to just rush it out for the fans to later dissappoint the fans cause it was horribly done. (might even lose fans cause of it too lol)

    What we need is a double pack of 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray a la GOW collection because I never played them.

    Also, ICO + SOTC and MGS Collection.

    And then RE1, 2, and 3 remakes.

    And then. . . well you get the point, if I can't have BC give me updates on Blu-Ray.

    We have no idea as it just started last gen.

    N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

    I'm pretty sure the next main title in the series will not be out until next gen. With that happening, what console will it launch on.
