Why would you want a port when you could just ask for SFV instead?

I really think we'll see Ono's team & Dimps doing a DarkStalkers revival next on 360/PS3.  Niitsuma's team & 8ing will do another Wii Vs game, maybe TVC2, maybe MVC3, maybe something new entirely.

I know what flop means!
The opposite of erection.

keep dreaming buddy, if you have a wii why not buy the game instead of complaining that its not on your system

But people complain about Wii owners wanting games on their system not the other way around!

Kidding aside, really people, listen to logic, reason, and facts.  If a dev says its not coming don't expect it, and whine about it, and if you keep whining about it... well I'm gonna start piling on links and logic until you get it, are banned cause you resorted to trolling, thread is locked, or all of the above.

One more thing the worldwide release of TvC basically outsold the original Japanese version pretty much week one, if you combine sales they're at around 240k sales , the average Wii game (built from the ground up) breaks even around 200k to 250k and thats when the game isn't a 2D fighter which are significantly cheaper to develop because you don't have to build as many assets or as much content.

Quick aside, but TVC also probably made back most of it's R&D investment from the arcade release.  It would've been profitable from day one at home, since the arcade release was literally a Wii chipset in a JAMMA board.

It likely won't be ported, it was developed for Wii-based arcade hardware.

SvC is an SNK fighter by the way, but you'd know that been so hardcore and all.

did i ever say it wasnt??? im also an snk fan so thats why i put it there because its both *capcom* and *snk*. that was just capcom talking to trick people into thinking they wont ever get it anywhere else. they were using "developed for the wii-based arcade" as a selling point to intrigue people into buying it. even capcom hinted that if the sales werent up its possible to see it else where.

Wii-based arcade hardware is only a selling point?

So what is this?

demitri55, come on. You're grasping at straws. Also, your last post to me made no sense whatsoever. Just give it up and stop trying to make something that's done well look bad.

how about you follow that advice? you clearly lost this argument dude lol.

You're making an amazing point of how I lost this argument by completely ignoring everything I'm writing. You're such a genius. You need to get some insight into yourself, boy. If you're really 22 years old, then you must've skipped a lot of maturing during your life. I'm sad for you, honest and upright.

It didn't flop on the Wii, and I bought it and I am not disappointed a bit.
It's one of the best games on Wii, and If your a true "hardcore" fighting fan like you claim to be you shouldn't have any problem buying this game on the Wii.

it sold only 139,000-units in 2 weeks that's a flop/failure. just because im a street fighter fan doesnt mean i have to buy the nintendo wii's version. when i buy a street fighter/any game i want the full experience. out of the 139,000 people who bought it how many of them are actually playing it online? how many of them are even familiar to street fighter/tatsunoko and didnt just buy it randomly cause of the commcercial? ill tell you this; ill definitely be getting the ps3 version and playing online against others. ill support tatsunoko vs. capcom but on the psn not wii. psn/xbl is a better market than wii, more people will buy it and play it online thus giving the full street fighter cross vs. experience

How many on this site are familiar with Tatsunoko, before this game? I dare you to find one person who isn't japanese and was well-versed about Tatsunoko before this game was announced.

I watched the animes in my early years (france always had jap animes)... though I didn't remember the names. I had a definite memory of The eagle and swan but not much of the others (knew the name gatchaman though)....When I saw Galactor in the background of his stage, I was "WTF I know this guy!!"

It's old stuff though, definitely not aimed at a teen audience...

And how do you flop selling 139K units when the initial plan was 0 units for the international version cause it wasn't planned???

i knew about tatsunoko so did my brother and friends. and no we arent japanese, chinese, or any type of asian. i am an anime person but my bro isnt and some of our friends yet knew who tatsunoko was

I'm an anime-person to the extent that I self-taught myself japanese and I'd never heard of Tatsunoko in my life, because all of their anime is really oldschool and 100% japan-oriented, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't believe you.

EDIT: Please also note that I said well-versed with Tatsunoko, not just knowing what it is.

You definitely come out as overly arrogant with certain comments. I know limited japanese but still need to rely on sub titles for a good portion. I've known Tatsunoko since Gatchaman and Speed Racer, as well as Robotech (not sure if it was 100% them or collaboration). In recent years I stumbled upon Karas and was delighted with both the OVA's as well as the US version divided in 2 movies The Prophecy and The Revelation (Otoha vs the waterdemon is still one of my favorite fights in all anime). Perhaps it helped alot that I was in Colombia in the late 80's early 90's where they get massive amounts of anime waaaaaay before the US had a clue of what was out there, such as Saint Seiya, Heaven Wars Shurato (oh I think Tatsunoko also took part in this one rofl well whatdaya know), Captain Tsubasa (watched it up to the point Japan played Brasil and Tsubasa meets with his mentor who dissapeared after the first season iirc), Magic Knight Rayearth (this exposed me to Clamp and made me like female heroes more), etc. I hope by now you get the idea by now.

And for the record I didn't start paying attention to the studios and creators until I watched Magic Knight Rayearth, and later on I was able to make the Tatsunoko connection once I watched Karas and decided to rewatch to Gatchaman. But anyways thanks to your post, you reminded me to watch ep. 8 of Saint Seiya: Lost Canvas. Have a good one.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

I'm sorry but I don't really see the point of your post. I bolded everything that didn't seem relevant at all to my post or to the thread in general, it kind of felt like you just wrote an introduction to yourself, which admittedly was nice, but not really... as I said, relevant.

To continue going off-topic, I've only read the manga of Lost Canvas but I've got some of the anime on my computer. Is it any good? Only seen the opening, but I quite liked it.
