Well, that would probably be an iPhone killer. Android is growing rapidly, and so if they have all the random crap from the Android marketplace, and a much greater range of gaming, with minis, Android games and then proper PSP games. Add into that all the social networking stuff they are using in their X10 phones and the other things, and yes, you have everything you could ever want. The only problem comes when it gets stolen...

lol reminds me of how my local radio stations and newspapers suggest those that own ipods to change the ipod headphones for theives will try to beat you up and steal your ipod if they see you wearing ipod headphones.

I can see how your ideas could definately shake the iPhone market and i wish if any product kills the iPhone it would be something of a PSP Phone.  Hopefully someone from Sony is reading this thread and picking up on your ideas (wishful thinking).  Sony has great potiential to create a good product yet sometimes they seem to fall short and blow it somehow.

With the release of PSP Go, its already preparing minis and games for when the the PSP Phone releases so by then there shouldnt be a complaint about the lacking in PSN.

Actually I think the main thing to do is advertising. The iPhone is cool, but its functionality is probably worse than that of Android, and just looking at what the Windows 7 phones are doing, it is greatly lacking, so I think the opportunity is there. Sony have improved their marketing as of late, but I think they need to do this properly. Apple advertise all the time, they must spend so much on advertising, Nintendo do similar ammounts, but you barely see anything from Sony

I do fear they will muck it up, like the go, where they couldn't work out a solution to allow current owners to play their games, and the price was far too high. SE has also mucked up with the Satio and Aino, both of which suffered severe software issues soon after launch. The Aino was also touted for its ability to do remote play, but it wasn't properly implimented or easy to use {actually they just need to sort out remote play and other connectivity generally}

I do think the minis are a good step, and will be good for the PSP phone, but they need to sort out media go, which is still a pretty average programme. They also need it to replace iTunes, so allow you to buy music there

I know I am asking a lot from them, but I really hate Apple (mostly because of their anti-PSP comments) and the PSP phone can be an amazing phone, and it is something that should really be done. I think they should probably do a PSP 2 phone, as that is bound to come this year or next anyway, so that it is a truly mindblowing product.

I don't think i'd like to have a PSP Phone, but i would LOVE to have PSN fully intergrated within a Ericsson phone, that would be sweet!

Just let Sony continue to commercials with Kevin Butler and I think they'll be alright for advertisments.  I think that actor has done wonders for PS3 now.

I think a key feature is defintinely the look of the product which is hard against Apple since they put design over functions, and thats what really got people attention with the iPhone before knowing it had touch screen etc.  Thats also a reason why some people by Mac laptops too.  So if Sony doesnt give all the nice features it can for the PSP Phone then at least let it look well-appealing.  And since its now a phone, hopefully they'll cut back on the firmware updates to a minimum, for the firmwares that's accidently bricked PSPs itll be worst if it bricked your phone.

I dislike Apple as well for the same reason of their anti-psp comments and hope they get burned for.  (The burning should be done by a PSP Phone).  I hope that the reason Sony hasnt released a PSP Phone yet is because they're constantly bringing in more ideas for it to create something amazing.  A PSP2 Phone would be a great way to get it going into the cell phone market and handheld market at the same time.

Yeah, but I think the go is a stunning device and Sony has been creating good devices. If you have an appealing device, with a real hook. I think SE's growing experience with smart phones, which is their primiary direction now, will help make sure the get everything working properly

Yea the Go is definitely one of Sony's stunning device.  I personally love using it, very appealing very portable.  Im sure a Sony psp phone with similar apparence will do just fine.

I would work 3 jobs to buy a PSPhone.

Would be awesome, but I wander how they could make the battery last longer? I can already imagine a dead battery cell phone when you wanna call somewhere. For ignorant of PSP, the PSPgo will last about 5-6 hours (normal PSP 4-5) when playing or watching movies.

They would open themselves up to an even larger market than they have now..

so I hope they do it
