The problem comes with the sides of the phone, you would want a slightly bigger screen, but other than that, the Go is ready to become a PSP phone

Yea i thought about that too but if people are use to the PSP Go's screen and the size of icons and text on the XMB in it, im sure people can manage for phone wise too. There are even touch screen phones with smaller screen than the Go.

Then again, Sony could just upgrade the size of the screen, like how often does Sony upgrade the PSP?

In terms of small screens, Sony has the X10 mini, which is tiny! But I would like a larger screen. In fact, when I first saw the leaked shots of the go, I assumed it would have touch screen capabilities, like an iPod touch with a PSP

I thought the same thing when i saw the shots as well, a touch screen wouldve been a nice feature, but maybe Sony's saving that for the PSP Phone lol.  Lets hope Sony will make a PSP Phone with a large touch screen.  Built in GPS feature would be nice too hehe

Good idea.  That would truly 'do everything' on the go.  lol oh i fear that as well, i think that would be a bad marketing move for Sony.

Tie-ins between departments are a good thing. The PS3/TV bestbuy deals sold rather well and I hope this works out well for Sony. When you have such an extensive hardware footprint that Sony has, it only makes sense to link the two (or three or however many)

It might be a bit late though, since this should have happened much earlier in the psp's lifecycle. Maybe the new PSP2 with a phone option? Sounds good to me.

Well, that would probably be an iPhone killer. Android is growing rapidly, and so if they have all the random crap from the Android marketplace, and a much greater range of gaming, with minis, Android games and then proper PSP games. Add into that all the social networking stuff they are using in their X10 phones and the other things, and yes, you have everything you could ever want. The only problem comes when it gets stolen...

lol reminds me of how my local radio stations and newspapers suggest those that own ipods to change the ipod headphones for theives will try to beat you up and steal your ipod if they see you wearing ipod headphones. 

I can see how your ideas could definately shake the iPhone market and i wish if any product kills the iPhone it would be something of a PSP Phone.  Hopefully someone from Sony is reading this thread and picking up on your ideas (wishful thinking).  Sony has great potiential to create a good product yet sometimes they seem to fall short and blow it somehow. 

With the release of PSP Go, its already preparing minis and games for when the the PSP Phone releases so by then there shouldnt be a complaint about the lacking in PSN.
