How about imagine a PSP Go?  The slide down controls will have the gaming buttons as it currently does except the screen is now touch screen for all the phone's need since there are lots of phone that only has a touch screen. 

Maybe the PSP Go was just Sony's idea to transition PSP into a PSP Phone.

The problem comes with the sides of the phone, you would want a slightly bigger screen, but other than that, the Go is ready to become a PSP phone

Yea i thought about that too but if people are use to the PSP Go's screen and the size of icons and text on the XMB in it, im sure people can manage for phone wise too. There are even touch screen phones with smaller screen than the Go.

Then again, Sony could just upgrade the size of the screen, like how often does Sony upgrade the PSP?

In terms of small screens, Sony has the X10 mini, which is tiny! But I would like a larger screen. In fact, when I first saw the leaked shots of the go, I assumed it would have touch screen capabilities, like an iPod touch with a PSP

I thought the same thing when i saw the shots as well, a touch screen wouldve been a nice feature, but maybe Sony's saving that for the PSP Phone lol.  Lets hope Sony will make a PSP Phone with a large touch screen.  Built in GPS feature would be nice too hehe

Just stick Android in there. I want a fully functional smart phone, which can become a PSP. What I fear is a PlayStation series of phones, rather than a PSP which is a phone
