Forums - General Discussion - Anybody who believed global warming was man made are having questions now?

I'll admit there is a global warming period going on, but I don't believe its even 1/8 as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Sounds like a scare tactic to get you to buy green products.

I love John Stewart, but he is on Comedy Central for a reason. He is not a source of science. Plus, in that piece, he didn't talk about anything at all. Just made fun of the weather.

Um duh it is a comedy show haha.  Who fact checks a comedy show... oh wait CNN does haha.  Seriously dude, laugh a little.

I think everybody should read the story the blog post was written from rather than treating that as the source.

It gives a more balanced view of what this man is saying and what happened.

Though it really doesn't change anything he said.

Any scientist who says they believe something 100% despite the statistics saying otherwise should have their degree revoked.

I laughed :)

I thought you pointed us there because you thought he had something important to say. Often times he does very good commentary on his political views. This one not one of those times :)

I never believed that Global Warming was as huge a Al Gore made it out to be. I also think the people who say that global warming doesn't exist are outright idiots. The truth is somewhere in between, and none of the recent developments has neither changed my view, nor surprised me all too much.

They promised me a BBQ summer and a mild winter in Britain. All i got was a wet summer and an ice cold winter! Gotta hate global warming

global warning doesn't mean that its going to rain less and having hot winter. in some place precipitation will rise and the winter will be colder or will be a lot of snow, just like happen in the USA back in january.

i believe in Global warning, the evidence:
-the rise in CO2, with more CO2 more temperature.
-the polar ice caps are smaller compare to decades ago
- terrible hurricane seasons.
- the temperature on earth surface and sea has risen( this is what defined global warning)

save the planet: outlaw forest fires and volcanoes today.
Don't delay, write you congressman before it's too late.

or just send me cash if you're feeling guilty, I'll make sure your money goes to a worthy cause.

I think these glorified weather forcasters should stop claiming to be scientists.

Understanding the  "Climate" should be left to physicists that actually have the math and physics back ground to study this.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
