Fixed.

You can cry out as much as you want. Everybody knows what game really bombed lately and gets Japanese Flop of the Decade award.

 Can a 260k week really be counted as a flop?

 I know it was well below most peoples expectations but for a flop the game has to sell so poorly that its unlikely to turn a profit, SMG certainly hasnt done that.

250,000 on Week one when the previous version sold 800,000 copies in its multi-year life (with a few years as a budget game or bundle) is not exactly a flop; depending on how it sells over the next couple of months it could end up with a (fairly) respectable total in comparison to other games in the series.

I'm sure everybody is satisfied. Yes, it's one of the biggest flops of the decade. This game struggles to break 500 k in Japan. It's not Lair, it's not VF5 it's not MotorStorm. It's Mario. The biggest Wii game didn't beat Gundam Musou. You will see what means descent start in Japan when FFXIII arrive.

Your an idiot.  If you want to take some bets on whether or not SMG beat SMS in Japan, let me know.  I'll gladly take your money.

Its sales are dissapointing, yes. They certainly arent a flop though, the game will have no problem cruising through 500k and I would be extremely suprised if they did not cross the million barrier in Japan. That is no flop.

Also do you have any evidence that FFXIII will have a huge start or is it just your fanboy senses tingling?

ok mario flop on japan, just wait for the us mario number before you consider the game is a total flop.
R&C is consider a flop because it have showed lower numbers at its best market(NA) and a very very low number in japan market. for a high profile game that struggle to break 500k(the break even point) is a major dissapointment.

The low developement cost of wii, I dont think it'll need to break 500k to break even, and it already cruise in on that 500k point on only one market. nintendo will turn in a profit for that game, and R&C will less likely to see profit in a long long time.

Well, HappySquirrel the Wii is very popular is it not?

The Gamecube, eh ... not so much.

But, really I compare EG5 numbers to most recent EG. The new one was released on PSP in 2005 or 2006.

What was the attach rate for EG3? I know it's 30% for EG5.

@ckmlb

They used the Resistance engine for R&CF. So this game probably didn't cost much. It won't as big a success as Resistance, but it will pay for itself.
