Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Is there a site where I can go to see if a 360 game is region free?

Well, I just found a game on Playasia that I want. And I have no idea if it is region free or not. So is there a website I can use to check?

I would use this.

It's not on the wikia list but I know Mushihimesama Futari v1.5 is also region-free.

Yeah, I saw that but the game I wanted wasn't up there.

But I just found it on another site. So this thread can be locked

Thanks Flyboy333 and loves2splooge!

Was that import Espgaluda II Black Label by any chance? I was dying to know quite awhile now if it was region-free and it seems like that has been answered: http://kotaku.com/5471899/if-you-want-to-play-espgaluda-ii-read-this-post Regular edition is region-free, but the limited edition (comes with game themed faceplate and alternative cover art) is region-locked.

I'm not gonna get it right away just to make sure 100% that it is indeed region-free (checking what the guinea pigs say on the forums. lol). But it appears that it will be. And the regular edition comes with a soundtrack CD too. Nice.

Cave is awesome. They make great (but hard. lol) shmups and they are probably the most Pro-Xbox Japanese developer out there. And they treat their overseas fans well (Futari is region-free, this is region-free, DeathSmiles is getting localized).

It's a great thing that DeathSmiles is being localized because Cave charges quite a premium for these games in Japan. Aksys will probably charge $40 tops for DeathSmiles (half Japanese price) because they know that a $60 shmup isn't going to fly very well with the western audience.

No, actually it was Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. But you should check out Neogaf. Look to see if they have an official thread. That's where I found out about TiP

I use http://forum.xbox-sky.cc/xbox360_regional_compatibility_guide/

It's pretty comprehensive.

Dsister why would you need to import Viva Pinata: TiP? You live in the United States and it is easy to find a copy in the good ol' US of A.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Well if you're buying it from play-asia you know that they list what regions the game is compatible in right on the page for the game? It will either be "No Region Protection", so any 360 will work fine. Or NTSC-J (for Japan/Asia), NTSC-U/C (for NA), or PAL (for Europe/Australia).

They also have: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html

According to play-asia, all versions of VP: Trouble in Paradise are region free.

When I looked at the VP: TiP page they had question marks for US and Pal consoles
