My ps3 has problems its taking a while to load on the screen like the PSN avatar doesn't show up examples are 0 friends online and i know theres some because theyre playing modern warfare 2 i have a new message and i click the message box and nothing appears just keeps loading...any help?It also freezes!?

Ok I fixed it but at a price...everything got deleted I used the restore ps3 system thing so its perfectly fine now

It was server maintenance. Happens every Tuesday.

honestly u shoulda backed it up first, then restored it, or u shoulda just restored the settings and leave ur saves, but to me it sounds like network congestion, if ur dling porn on the comp and ur ps3 tries to open a message itll take a bit and freeze. :P

It was Tuesday afternoon PST when you posted the thread. That's when Sony does maintenance.

I went to the PS Store, it said "this service is not available in your region" so I figured that it was being maintained. Sure enough, a few hours later, it was working fine.
