I have a BC Ps3... but i want to know if it can play ps2 imports game? I would love to play the saint seiya (ps2) games, but i dont know if my ps3 will read the japanese/european imports

any help

Im pretty certain ps3's are 100% region free, I imported Demon souls chinese/english verison and works perfectly.

the ps3 can play any ps3 game. the ps2 games are region locked though. not all of them. so look it up.

Do you know where can i look that info?

As far as I know, PS2 imports DVD's are locked to the region the PS3 was purchased from. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

i am sorry i dont know where a list is. but only a few ps2 games are not region locked. the game that you want to play is region locked

I feel your pain Maynard_Tool. I would love to be able to play that on my PS3. Grew up watching the Saint Seiya anime from Mexico and it spawned my love for Japanese Animation.

Oh man, that's my dream!!! To be able to play a RPG type Saint Seiya; but i would I would like the combat to be like in the fighting games. I guess you speak spanish right?

Ese video que me pasaste es del 2006, no crees que ya seria hora que lo sacaran? x) En verdad que... toda mi vida e querido jugar un videojuego de los caballeros del zodiaco, que abarcara  todaaaa la historia... Desde la obtencia de las armaduras, ataque del phoenix y sus caballeros negros hasta Hades. Y pq no las peliculas tmb x) Se vale soniar en verdad. Me encantan los caballeros, desde que tenia como 6 anios disfrutaba cada sabado en Tvazteca.

Espero algun dia me cumplan el suenio y saquen un juegazo como se lo merece esta saga.

We can only dream since its most likely not going to happen. The aurora studio group is stuck in limbo since they can't get the company that holds the rights to any Saint Seiya game to step forward and show any interest. They get the run around probably because they are not known and large Japanese companies don't like dealing with unknown studios/companies. "unproven" was the term used in their forums.

I speak Spanish, but typing/writing it is harder for me, so forgive me ... si no te hablo en Espanol, porque tengo win 7 en Ingles y no se si lo que te escribo esta correcto gramaticamente.

I have this game as a ROM, and currently in the process of upgrading my computer to play it with a ps2 emulator. My AMD 3.0 ghz single core can't handle it along with my 7800 GS AGP. It's the best solution I've come across with. If you have a fast enough computer/Video Card I'm sure you could run it and use a PS3 controller to play it.

PS2 games, PS1 games, and DVD's are still region locked on PS3's.

You'd be better off getting a modded PS2 or an original JP PS2 to play that game. I'm still using my modded slim US PS2 that I got in 2005, which is helpful now that I'm in Japan as I can play all the JP PS1/PS2 games on it just fine. (though lately I've started playing my JP PS1 games on my JP PS3, no PS2 support on the slim ps3 though )
