Why yes it is. Thank you for asking.
tarheel91 said: It has a great difficulty curve that allows for continued improvement. It can be as simple as a button masher or as complex as any other fighter (if not more complex) thanks to the metagame. At the same time, it allows you to control the amount of luck involved for players of different skill levels. |
Exactly. Melee has the best difficulty curve in my opinion but brawl is the most balanced (balanced characters, best arenas, it's easier to learn for a new player) but still melee is my favourite. I don't know what to add, the formula it's just fantastic as it is.....maybe just more characters and arenas, baybe some new multiplayer modalities.
P.S.If you like smash bros you should try Super Mario War 1.7 it's a fan-made PC minigame, it is just a little similar to smash bros even if it's much more simplier (you just have to jump on your opponents heads) but it has some interesting ideas.
best fighting system ever created ?

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!
I like its randomness, but honestly im indifferent to the game as a whole.
Maybe its because i never played the series before and i never really grew to appreciate it at all. I had an N64 but i never had the original Smash.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
It's a four player fighting game that works. I've never seen that anywhere else.
I'd add a home stage for Bowser. Fighting him in Mario themed stages like Delphino Plaza just isn't right.
"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy
