Forums - General Discussion - What game(s) best represent your tastes?

For me, it'll be Bad Company (1 and 2), and the Total War series.

I like games that are realistic enough so that I can relate to them and use common sense and tactics, and I love games that have a lot of depth that you can simply sink into its deepest depths for hours.

JRPG's, for example: Final Fantasy, Persona, Chrono Trigger, Xenosaga. JRPG's I enjoy for the engrossing story's and excellent Protagonists. The music is awesome too!

I've gotten a little tired of Shooters (Cuz I'm too beast, no challenge!) but it would probably be my number 2.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Very difficult...I will go with Racers.

DiRT, NFS, F1 '09, Mario Kart, Burnout,

AND RPGs

Fable, Secrets of Mana, Fallout, Chrono, Final Fantasy, Pokemon

There is no Knowledge that is not Power

Hybrid FPS/RPG - like Deus Ex or System Shock 2

Space Trading - Elite (but nobody makes these anymore)

Adventure Games - Grim Fandango (more or less ditto to above)

Western RPG - Oblivion and Fallout 3 (but I want better, deeper quests and story and more fantastic settings)

Story led FPS/TPS - Uncharted 2 being a standout, Half Life 2, etc.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Obscure Japanese Dating sims.... >_>

any fps. I play any game, but fps are my favorite type of game.

I like games with cool storylines, impressive graphics, gritty gameplay, and (if possible) hot chicks.

So, Metal Gear, Uncharted, Bayonetta, and Gears of War.

I suppose for me it's RPGs and Story led games, so anything with a good story and decent game mechanics no matter the genre. I especially like WRPGs where you have an influence on events, or at least the illusion of influence.

RPG: All things Bioware, Bethesda and Obsidian (Dragon Age, KoToR, Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect and a lot of older RPGs... and CDProjeckt may make the list soon)... and Deus Ex.
FPS: Deus Ex, Half-Life series
Adventure: Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Zelda

I play all types of games but these are the sort of games that impress me the most.

Hmm... the best representation in general is RPGs from the late 8-bit through the 16-bit era. Stories started to get better, games became long, some still had challenge, and I could explore the world. There are of course, also some games I love post 16-bit era, but there're fewer of them.

rpg's are just to long. I've played breath of fire 3,dragon quest8,chrono cross, bauilder's gate dark alliance, skies of arcadia and dragon age orgins. These are the only rpg's i've played in 20+yrs of gameing.
