Man... I thought console gaming was better than PC gaming because it didn't have expensive hardware upgrade requirements....

Every game is hard to read in SD. Trust me i know. I only play halo 3 on my SDTV anymore. Everything else goes on my primary xbox on my HDTV

Vizio has their 42 inch 120hz TV for less than 700 bucks in costco these days, people really need to get with the program.

The difference is immense. I have an old, small SD tv at home, and the text is tiny but I moved the 360 to our lovely, large HD tv and everything is crystal clear and easy to read now.

TV's are quite a different situation from PC gaming parts.

No it's really not. At this day and age you need a PC more than a TV. You need a CPU, you need RAM, and while you don't need a VG it is required for many things other than video games, including watching movies. So no, not different at all. It's something required for gaming, and for the price of an "upgrade" I can build a brand spanking new PC, more powerful than any console.
